Halfway Mark

July 1st was the halfway mark of the year. It is crazy that this year is already half way over. I was looking through my goals for this year and I wanted to update y’all on my progress.

Graduate from college.  I have officially finished my last college class. I will just have to wait to receive my diploma in the mail.

Get a job.   This one has come true. I couldn’t be more excited that this on came true! I wasn’t expecting to get a job the week after I walked across the stage at graduation, but it happened.

Move to Nashville.   This hasn’t happened and will always be a dream of mine. I am staying in Indiana for a while, but this one will come true eventually.

Create a budget.  I am in the process of starting to create a budget. I am about to start making loan payments, I am making a car payment at the moment, and I know that having a budget will help with all of that.

Read and write more.  This is a difficult one to keep up on, but I am accomplishing it. I am starting to write on my blog more as y’all will see in the next couple of weeks and months. I am also reading a lot more. I have completely two physical books and I lost count of how many Kindle books I have read. It has been quite a few.

Perform in the school musical.   I am happy and proud to say that I was apart of the spring musical. It was my last one and it was my favorite. I was the choreographer and I also performed alongside several students that I have performed with in the past and several new students. We became family.

Have a girl’s trip with my college friends.  This hasn’t happened yet, but I am going to visit a couple of my friend’s in the next two months. I will definitely be posting about my travels, so keep an eye out for that.

Get into shape.   This has been fun. I started going to Zumba with my mom on Thursdays and we are going to start going to with my sister on Wednesdays. This is a great way to exercise because it’s dancing, but also a great workout. I am also hoping to start playing tennis  with my dad sometime soon. It is sometime I have wanted to learn, but never had the time.

Build a professional wardrobe.   I am happy to say this one is growing. Working at TJ Maxx, I definitely have an advantage with getting professional looking clothes. I have gotten several tops and slacks. I also just started Stitch Fix. I have only gotten one “fix”, but there are several more to come.

Make the present better.  I am working on this constantly. I sometimes get into a rut, but I know that life goes on and God has a plan for everything. I am happy to say that I am making it a point to be happy and see the good in everything.

I hope y’all are doing well on your New Year’s Resolutions! Tell me all about them on here or you can message me!

Until next time my sassy peaches,

EM
